The new documentary film Who I Am, co-produced by Cadance Bell, will be premiering in Auckland, New Zealand on June 18, 2022.
The world’s first documentary to explore the intersection of neurodiversity and gender identity, Who I Am follows a transgender teen on the spectrum learns to be himself and finds the support he needs with the help of his original animated characters, The Fallens.
Produced by Cadance Bell, David Elliot Jones and Naomi Ball, who also wrote and directed the film, it was completed with support from the Doc Edge Rei Foundation Film Fund, Film Vic, Documentary Australia Foundation and Screen Australia.
The film will premiere as part of the Doc Edge Film Festival, at the Silky Otter Cinema in Auckland on June 18 at 10:30am, alongside the two minute short film Two-Spirit, and will be followed by a live Q&A session with the filmmakers.
